Our Purpose

At St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, we’re here to share the love and hope of Jesus with everyone. We believe that the message of Jesus is for all people, and we want to make a positive difference in and around Dodge County.

What We Believe

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired and error-free Word of God. Everything we teach and do is rooted in Scripture, and we trust in Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness and eternal life.

  • We believe that salvation is a free gift from God, not something we can earn. Through faith in Jesus, we receive forgiveness, new life, and the promise of heaven.

  • Our faith leads us to love, serve, and support one another. We strive to live out our faith in daily life, guided by God’s Word, and empowered by the Holy Spirit

Our Mission

  • We joyfully share the message of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection with all people, both here in Dodge County and around the world, so that others may know the hope and peace found in Christ’s saving work.

  • We encourage and strengthen each other in faith through worship, Bible study, and the sacraments. We also help believers grow in their relationship with God and one another.

  • We equip our members to be disciples of Christ and servants for others by living out their faith and sharing Christ’s love in their families, workplaces, and communities.

  • We hold to the teachings of the Lutheran Reformation, emphasizing salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed in Scripture alone.
